Welcome

Carnoustie and District Pipe Band was founded in Carnoustie in 2008. The Pipe Band is based in Carnoustie which lies on the east coast of Scotland near the mouth of the river Tay and has members coming from across the whole of Tayside, from Perth, Dundee, Arbroath and Montrose.

The Carnoustie Pipe Band regularly performs at local functions including gala days, Festivals and Ceilidhs, and also promotes piping and drumming in the area. In 2008 we gained Scottish Registered Charity Status, No. ACO40015,  and we are very active with the local youth in the area. The Band is also registered with the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association and has entered the competition arena in 2010 in Grade 4B.

I apologise for this site not being up to date, but unfortunately Pipe Major Ian Campbell has not kept me up to date with the happenings in the band, though I will still try to keep the site as up to date as possible. The Pipe Major did e-mail me on the 14/2/2012 to tell me that he had someone else in mind to run the site, there has been no contact since, I hope he is well.
